Folk Legacy Trio brings together George Grove, Rick Dougherty and Jerry Siggins to celebrate the greatest songs of the American folk era. These three accomplished musicians haven’t simply performed the music—they have spent decades alongside many of the artists who created and defined it.
George Grove went from performing as a background musician at the Grand Ole Opry to an extraordinary 41-year career with The Kingston Trio, becoming known to audiences around the world for his musicianship and exceptional banjo playing.
Rick Dougherty brings an extraordinary folk music legacy of his own. A gifted singer, songwriter and arranger, Rick spent 14 years with The Limeliters as Glenn Yarbrough’s replacement, bringing his remarkable tenor voice to stages around the world. He later joined The Kingston Trio for 12 years, giving him an exceptional history with two of the most celebrated groups of the American folk era.
Jerry Siggins brings decades of exceptional vocal experience and remarkable versatility to Folk Legacy Trio. Jerry was a member of The Diamonds, the legendary vocal group known for the million-selling “Little Darlin’” and the American Bandstand favorite “The Stroll.” His impressive career also includes performing with the famous Dapper Dans barbershop quartet at Disney parks in California, Florida and Japan, as well as a decade singing with a Celtic band.
Along the way, George, Rick and Jerry have performed and shared stages with an extraordinary collection of folk and popular music legends, including Peter, Paul & Mary, Tom Paxton, Judy Collins, The New Christy Minstrels, The Brothers Four, The Chad Mitchell Trio, The Mamas & The Papas, The Association, The Limeliters, Glenn Yarbrough, The Kingston Trio, Pete Seeger and many more.
They are artists George, Rick and Jerry have performed with, traveled with, written songs with and known personally.
