Limeliters

THE LIMELITERS

The Limeliters have been one of the most enduring names in American folk music for more than six decades, combining exceptional musicianship, signature three-part harmonies and the quick-witted humor that has been part of their performances since the beginning.

The original trio—Alex Hassilev, Lou Gottlieb and Glenn Yarbrough—first made their mark in folk clubs and on college campuses during the great folk music boom of the early 1960’s. Their distinctive sound and engaging stage presence quickly brought national attention, leading to hit recordings, major television appearances and a remarkable musical legacy that has continued through generations.

Today, that tradition continues with Andy Corwin, a member of The Limeliters since 2004, C. Daniel Boling and Steve Brooks. Together, they carry forward the unmistakable Limeliters sound with thrilling three-part harmonies, accomplished musicianship, infectious energy and the trademark humor that has delighted audiences for generations.

With more than 25 albums—including three Top 10 albums—The Limeliters helped define the sound of the American folk movement. Their music continues to connect with longtime fans while finding new audiences and new generations of listeners.

Their repertoire includes longtime favorites “Lonesome Traveler,” “Wabash Cannonball,” “Whiskey in the Jar,” “There’s a Meetin’ Here Tonight” and “Take My True Love By the Hand,” which reached a whole new generation when The Limeliters’ recording was featured in the hit television series Breaking Bad. The song became a YouTube sensation, surpassing 3 million views and continuing to attract new listeners.

And for generations who grew up hearing it, there’s also the unforgettable Coca-Cola jingle, “Things Go Better with Coke.”

The Limeliters dazzled the audience with their legendary folk singing style… A spectacular musical treat not soon to be forgotten.
