Brady Seals

Singer-songwriter and artist Brady Seals has a pedigree for success. He is related to numerous music industry heavyweights including Jimmy Seals (of Seals & Crofts), Dan Seals (of England Dan & John Ford Coley), and country songwriters Troy Seals (Songwriting Hall of Fame Member) and Chuck Seals. Throughout his career, Brady Seals has sold over 11 million albums, topped charts across three different genres simultaneously, and continues to captivate audiences with his music, which is frequently licensed for TV, radio, and film.

A touring musician since the age of 16, Brady Seals is perhaps best known for his tenure with the multi-platinum group Little Texas. As the keyboardist and co-lead singer during his six years with the band, they achieved significant success, being voted ACM’s Vocal Group of the Year and receiving two Grammy nominations. Little Texas celebrated three consecutive number-one hits with “What Might Have Been,” “God Blessed Texas,” and “My Love,” all of which Seals co-wrote, earning him the prestigious ASCAP Triple Play Award.

In 1996, Seals embarked on a solo career, collaborating with the legendary Rodney Crowell to co-produce his Warner Brothers album, The Truth. This album features the duet “Another You, Another Me” with Wynonna Judd, which sold over 100,000 singles. In 1998, he released a self-titled CD that included guest appearances by Vince Gill, Ricky Skaggs, Timothy B. Schmidt (The Eagles), Bela Fleck, and Max Carl (.38 Special). Seals then ventured into the pop/rock genre between 1999 and 2001, engineering, producing, and writing the album Thompson Street in collaboration with pop innovator Andy Sturmer (Jellyfish).

In 2002, Seals formed Hot Apple Pie (DreamWorks), a band dubbed “Music City’s Super Group” by the industry. Their self-titled debut album, released in 2005, featured country music icon Willie Nelson. The band quickly made history as the highest-selling debut country group in the Neilson SoundScan era. Their debut single, “Hillbillies Love It In The Hay,” reached the Top 20, and its video topped VH-1 Country and was ranked among CMT’s “Top 20 Sexiest Videos.”

Seals spent the next two years with Hot Apple Pie, playing large venues across North America and Canada. The band performed at the Grand Ole Opry, major festivals like Summerfest, and opened for country giants Keith Urban and Tim McGraw. Their live performances were highly sought after, with fans eager to experience the band’s extraordinary musicianship and Seals’ “Jagger-esque” stage presence. Hot Apple Pie earned the respect of industry insiders and established acts due to their tight harmonies, agile playing skills, and charismatic stage antics.

In 2008, Seals released an independent solo CD titled Play Time, featuring collaborations with friends Richard Marx and Stan Lynch (Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers). He then hit the road again, performing in clubs, theaters, and other venues across the country for two years.

In 2015, Seals, alongside his friend and co-writer Gordon Kennedy, founded the songwriter show Music City Pickers LIVE!. This show features artists such as Ricky Skaggs, Larry Stewart (Restless Heart), Richie McDonald (Lonestar), Peter Frampton, and many other hit-makers.

In 2016, Brady teamed up with Lua Crofts (daughter of Darrell “Dash” Crofts) to form Seals & Crofts 2. This project allows audiences to experience the music of the 70s rock duo Seals & Crofts in a fresh, re-imagined way, featuring hits like “Summer Breeze,” “Diamond Girl,” and “We May Never Pass This Way (Again),” along with new songs from Seals & Crofts 2.

2016 also saw Seals taking on another musical project as the frontman for a Tom Petty tribute band called The Petty Junkies. This group comprises some of Nashville’s top professional studio musicians and artists, all of whom have had successful careers in their own right. Collectively, the band members have been involved in well over 300 hit songs, whether through writing, performing, singing, or producing.

Recently, Brady Seals released his version of the iconic hit “God Blessed Texas” along with a new memoir titled God Blessed Texas & Me Too. He is currently booking shows for 2021.
