The District – A Tribute to Haight Ashbury

It was more than a moment – it was a movement.
It was more than a location – it was a cultural epicenter.
It was a defining sound of a generation.

This was the Haight-Ashbury district of the late 1960’s.

In 1967, change was in the air in San Francisco, CA. That year, nearly 100,000 young people converged on the Haight-Ashbury neighborhood, turning the city into the mecca of a cultural phenomenon known as the Summer of Love.

The District–A Tribute to Haight Ashbury & The Music of a Generation is a celebration of this unparalleled era of creativity and counter-culture. Featuring iconic songs from Jefferson Airplane, Cream, Buffalo Springfield, The Hollies, The Doors, The Byrds, Steve Miller Band, The Grateful Dead, CSNY, Procol Harum, Janis Joplin, and more. This show captures the spirit, music, and revolutionary attitude born from this legendary time and place.
