Lone Star Skynyrd

Lone Star Skynyrd brings the unmistakable sound and spirit of Lynyrd Skynyrd to the stage in a powerful celebration of one of the most influential bands in Southern rock.

More than a tribute, Lone Star Skynyrd has a remarkable connection to the music and legacy it celebrates. The band was personally selected by the Skynyrd organization as the official band of the Lynyrd Skynyrd Monument in Gillsburg, Mississippi, and has received the support of Johnny Van Zant and the Van Zant family.

From “Sweet Home Alabama” and “Gimme Three Steps” to “Simple Man,” “Saturday Night Special,” “What’s Your Name,” “That Smell” and the legendary “Free Bird,” Lone Star Skynyrd delivers the songs that made Lynyrd Skynyrd an enduring force in American rock music.

In 2022, Lone Star Skynyrd was named Tribute Band of the Year by the Josie Music Awards at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville and has received three Josie Award nominations. The band has also shared the stage with Molly Hatchet, Charlie Daniels, 38 Special, The Kentucky Headhunters, Wade Bowen and The Georgia Satellites.

Their reputation has taken them to theaters, casinos, fairs, festivals and concert stages across the country. Lone Star Skynyrd also became the only tribute band to appear on the cover of Buddy Magazine during the publication’s 50-year history.

With the guitars, vocals and unmistakable Southern rock sound at the heart of the music, Lone Star Skynyrd gives audiences a chance to experience these legendary songs live—and celebrate the extraordinary musical legacy of Lynyrd Skynyrd.
