From the opening chords of REO Speedwagon’s “Take It on the Run” and “Keep on Loving You” to Loverboy’s “Working for the Weekend,” to Survivor’s iconic “Eye of the Tiger,” this is a show built around one hit after another. These are the songs that filled arenas, dominated rock radio and became part of the soundtrack of the ’70s and ’80s.
REO Survivor & Co. features the five core musicians behind Chicago Rewired, one of the country’s premier Chicago tribute bands. Following a successful 2018 summer tour, the musicians turned their attention to the harder-driving rock & roll they grew up with—and found the perfect combination in the music of REO Speedwagon, Loverboy and Survivor.
The band made its debut at the House of Blues in Myrtle Beach, SC. From the first concerts, audiences were on their feet and singing along, confirming what the musicians already knew: these extraordinary catalogs belong together on one stage.
